Choosing a diamond: the 4Cs, without the jargon

By System Admin Oct 16, 2026 1,349

Cut is where we would spend first: an excellent cut makes a diamond look brighter and larger than its carat weight suggests.

Colour runs from D (colourless) downwards. In yellow gold, a G–H stone looks just as white as a D.

Clarity describes tiny natural inclusions. VS1–VS2 diamonds are eye-clean and far better value than flawless.

Carat is weight, not size. Prices jump at 1.00ct, so a 0.90ct stone can be a clever choice.

Every NUR diamond over 0.30ct is GIA certified and ethically sourced.
